Piling at Tregonning

Piling has now begun at Tregonning Solar Farm, with two piling rigs operating across the site. This is typically the noisiest stage of construction, as steel piles are driven into the ground to create the foundations for the structures that will support the solar panels.

The good news is that ground conditions have been favourable so far, with very little rock being encountered. This is helping work progress smoothly and should also reduce the amount of noise carrying into the surrounding area.

Based on current progress and ground conditions, the construction team expects piling to take around seven weeks to complete.
